Etching metal, adopted the etching process, is a new kind of metal material for decoration and other applications. Etching process
At the beginning, we prepare the graphics and raw material according to customers' requirements. Second, we will clean the metal through acid washing for removing the oxides and rust things on the metal surface. Third, we will dry the metal material, cover the metal with photosensitive dry film or plastic coating and then dry the metal again. Fourth, through exposure and development, the graphics will be removed on the metal plate. Fifth, we will use the chemical solution corroding the section without protective layer. Finally, we remove the protective layer and dry the metal plate.
How to choose the metal material for etching?
Mentioned above, almost any metal can be used for etching. But there still exists some differences. Copper is a traditional and still preferred metal for etching. Because it can bites evenly and holds texture well. At the same time, the color of the ink will not distort when wiping. Zinc, cheaper than copper, but sometimes does not bite cleanly and evenly as copper and it changes some colors of ink. Steel, incredibly durable and cheaper than copper and zinc, is gradually popularity as etching material.
